Find the right gift

Like you, I spend a lot of time looking for the perfect gifts for my mom, my sisters, and my girlfriends. From birthdays to Mother’s Day to Christmas and other special occasions, I want to give thoughtful gifts that let them know how much they mean to me. But finding good gift ideas for women is not easy!

Over the years, I’ve learned that giving a gift that reflects the person’s passions is a hit every time. It shows that you know them and what they like. Luckily for me, all the women in my life like to travel!

After living full time in an RV for twelve years, I have some experience with products that make traveling more comfortable and convenient. If you’re looking for gift ideas for the traveling women in your life, I hope you find something here that will show her how much she means to you.

A few years ago I decided to send my favorite ladies some of my favorite things for Christmas. Looking around the RV, I thought they would appreciate some things that I wouldn’t want to live without.

As you can imagine, living in a small space and traveling full time gives a certain twist to the products I have chosen. But even in the more stationary life I live now, I spend a lot of time on the go and opt for products that hold up well.

Admittedly, my gifts are not glamorous. But these are things that make me happy and make everyday life more enjoyable.

Although these gift ideas are aimed at women who travel, they would suit any busy woman on your list. And don’t forget… you deserve a little something too!

Orthopedic SlippersCheck the price on Amazon

Every morning when I get out of bed, I slip into my cozy slippers. And let’s be honest, working from home means I spend all day in these babies sometimes!

These are my favorite “indoor shoes” when the weather is cool, and the arch support, washable insole liners, and durable, lightweight soles tick all my boxes.

They come in regular, large, and extra-large sizes from 5 to 12, so you can donate a pair that warms the heart as well as the feet.

Kinto Stainless Steel Unitea TeapotCheck the price on Amazon

For me, the day only starts when I have a nice hot cup of tea. And this teapot allows me to brew both loose and bagged tea. Compared to much more expensive teapots, this little baby makes delicious tea for around $30. And, with the stainless steel strainer built into the lid, cleanup is easy!

Ebanel lightening peelCheck the price on Amazon

No matter what the day throws at us, we women all like to look our best. But who has time to schedule regular facials?! Luckily, being pampered doesn’t always require a visit to the spa.

Used once a week, this Ebanel brightening peel provides all the exfoliation I need to stay fresh – for about $15 a bottle. And the entire Ebanel range is cruelty-free!

Alba Botanicals Lotion with SPFCheck the price on Amazon

You don’t want to overshadow your friends. And spending time outdoors is one of the perks of travel, but it can be hard on the skin! Combine These Cruelty-Free Alba Botanicals moisturizer with SPF 15 with the Ebanel lightening peel and send self-care to a new level.

Offering light protection against the sun, it is ideal for everyday use. Use it on the backs of your hands, the tops of your feet, and any other exposed areas when you will be exposed to the sun or not.

Sunglasses with polarized lensesCheck the price on Amazon

Who doesn’t want a cute new pair of sunglasses for their next beach trip or road trip? If you’ve never splurged a good pair of polarized sunglasses you don’t know what you’re missing.

Not only do polarized lenses protect your eyes from the sun, they also reduce sun glare and reduce squinting. And for those lucky enough to have uncorrected vision, the options are almost endless!

People who need prescription glasses can often have their optometrist replace regular sunglasses lenses with polarized prescription lenses. Not all sunglasses lenses can be replaced, but I have kid-sized Ray Bans (which fit me better than adult sizes) and was able to get the lenses swapped.

Fleece HoodieCheck the price on Amazon

Experienced female travelers always wear an extra layer. You never know when the wind will pick up, the plane will freeze or the temperature will drop as the sun goes down.

This fleece lined hoodie has a sleek fit and looks great. Plus, it’s stain-resistant and waterproof. Even if you get caught in a downpour, you’re covered!

Made in Hawaii, OluKai sandals are as comfortable as they are pretty. With built-in arch support and a unique footbed that cushions and molds to your foot, they provide enough support for taking a walking tour or strolling the Strip in Vegas.

OluKais comes in a rainbow of colors and new designs are coming out all the time. Rod and I have been wearing these sandals for years – we’ve even hiked in them!

ENO HammockCheck the price on Amazon

If the woman on your list loves the outdoors, she’ll love lounging in a new hammock. ENO hammocks can be hung up in less than five minutes, so they’re perfect for camping, picnics, or trips to the park. And they come in a wide variety of gorgeous colors to reflect her personality.

The adjustable suspension straps (sold separately) allow quick connections between two trees or posts, without shortening the ropes or tying knots.

Photo Safari – Prices vary

One of Rod’s best gifts to date to date was a photo safari to Whidbey’s Island in Washington. Since then, I have noticed photographers all over the country offering this service.

If you prefer to offer an experience rather than a thing, I highly recommend that you seek out a photo safari in your area. Or organize one for an upcoming trip!

Spending time with a professional photographer is a great way for anyone who enjoys taking photos to get tips and see results instantly. Whether it’s a group or individual session, and whether it lasts a few hours or an entire day, it’s a memorable gift that lasts a lifetime.
