We’re on the hills science sensitive skin and stomach, still no 100% solid stool. Be careful with grain-free foods, another friend’s pittie is struggling with grain-free heart issues

My boy is doing great with the Purina Pro Plan Stomach Sensitive Lamb and Rice. He was someone who went a day without eating or when he did he threw up or was super gassy and ate weed all the time. He has been taking it for a year and no longer misses a meal or vomits.

We make ours Salmon and rice. She is allergic to poultry and most dog foods on the market contain some type of poultry.

The dogs in my family almost always ate Nature’s Domain dog food. My two dogs are on different bags however since the chihuahua (for whatever reason any brand that is flavored with lamb and rice or chicken and rice, it upsets his tummy) is on the domain of the nature salmon and sweet potatoes, our lab/pit mix is ββon Nature’s domain bag lamb and rice.

I started my 13 year old Bella 3 months ago – Salmon. Within a week, all of her allergies, licking, scratching and tummy issues were gone. It’s been heaven ever since

I do homemade. One of my boys has very sensitive skin and stomach. My other boy had gdv (twisted bowel) and had major surgery. They also removed his spleen. So I just make their food. I use beef broth, turkey, pork, or lean ground meat with brown rice, mixed vegetables, sweet potatoes, and blueberries. They are both doing so much better. And right now homemade food is as cheap as bagged food

I used to pressure cook a whole chicken (bones and all! When pressure cooked the bones were so soft she could eat them and so good for them) and add kale. Add pumpkin if they are constipated, depending on the sensitivity issue, oatmeal and organic rice are a good filler. At that time, I was also giving supplements. Find a holistic vet/naturopath and ask them what they might need if you are going to cook their food.

That’s what I give my pit. Recently moved from Redford and well worth the price. He went from completely watery diarrhea to normal solid poop. Highly recommend!! Good luck to your pup!!

My daughter could only eat Simply Nourish Salmon and Rice from Pet Smart. She has a terrible corn allergy and chicken sensitivity so I had to read the labels very carefully. She was a delicate flower and I miss her every day.

I use Blue Buffalo Life Protection Lamb with their canned lamb as a wet blender. My pit bull took Flagyl for years for gastritis before I finally took it off ALL meats except lamb through trial and error. Do not look for any animal meals or by-products, mainly chicken. With my big daughter, meat was the problem, ie beef, chicken, pork. Good luck

When I had my boy he had a very upset tummy for a long time until we finally tried him on a mostly raw diet. The truth is, it’s not good for all dogs, so try a certain diet for about a week before moving on. They need time to adapt. Sometimes changing food quickly can lead to stomach upset on its own
